Our Story

River Valley Medical Wellness (RVMW) was founded in June 2020 by Dr. Kristin Martin in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the increased need for comprehensive healthcare services. Dr. Kristin Martin, DO, MS, FAAFP, is Board Certified in Family Practice and has extensive experience as an Emergency Medicine physician and Medical Director in Arkansas since 2009.

 

Since its founding, RVMW has built an extraordinary team of 25, including Family Practice Nurse Practitioners, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Therapists, Peer Recovery Support Specialists, nurses, and medical assistants. This dedicated team is unmatched in their commitment to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to every patient, ensuring that all aspects of health—whether physical, mental, or emotional—are addressed with excellence.

 

At our core is an integrated care model, which blends Primary Care, Mental Health Care, and Addiction Care to ensure a holistic approach to health and wellness. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive care that addresses the full spectrum of our patients' health needs—whether that’s physical health, mental well-being, or long-term wellness goals.

 

In addition to our clinical services, RVMW is proud to support our non-profit arm, Arkansas Mobile Opioid Recovery (ARMOR). At ARMOR, we believe that high-quality healthcare should be accessible to everyone, no matter where they live. That's why we take our services on the road, bringing comprehensive, personalized care directly to underserved rural communities across Arkansas. Our mission is simple: to provide hope and healing in your community, offering essential services for opioid use disorder, recovery support, and overall wellness.

 

Our mission is to promote overall wellness by stabilizing individuals and families, reducing healthcare disparities, assisting individuals back into the workforce, and educating communities and providers about the importance of holistic health.
